Saint Kilian's Heritage Centre

Welcome to Saint Kilian's Heritage Centre

A warm welcome awaits you at the Saint Kilian’s Heritage Centre where, upon arrival, you will immediately start to get a feel of what life was like for Saint Kilian. The exhibition at Saint Kilian’s Heritage Centre in Mullagh begins with a 12 minute audio-visual presentation available in English, German and Irish dealing with St. Kilian and his times, his work, martyrdom and subsequent cult.

This interpretive centre is a record and a celebration of Saint Kilian’s life. In it, one sees and hears of an alternative world in which a particular vision was lived out heroically beyond celtic mists.

The sensitive visitor will find it a doorway to the sacred and will be enriched by being put in touch, not with the dead past, but with the spiritual and cultural energy on which modern Europe is built, from Charlemagne, who prayed at Kilian’s tomb at Würzburg, to those who pray at his Mullagh shrine today.
